What to expect
-
The intake session (up to 60 minutes) involves gathering background information (e.g. reason for assessment, current concerns, developmental history) so that an appropriate plan can be created that matches the needs of the client. This session is a great way for clients to ask any questions, gain clarity about the process and book in future appointments. The consent form is also discussed in detail during this session.
-
The assessments are completed individually with the client over 1-2 sessions and breaks are given whenever needed. Questionnaires to be completed are also provided post assessment and on occassions there many be questionnaires that need to be completed by other parties (e.g. teachers, other family members).
-
The feedback session is typically booked 2-4 weeks post assessment and this will be booked in the intake session. The feedback session takes up to one hour and this is where the clinician will discuss in detail the results of the report and any relevant recommendations. Post feedback session, a PDF copy of the report is emailed. The report cannot be provided until full payment has been received.
-
Costs for the assessments are in the Fees and FAQ’s page.
50% of the assessment cost is required after the intake session, with the remaining 50% due post feedback session and before release of the report.
